Basically I’m going to lay down the basics of charcoal, all of this I've learned through trial and error and a few tutorials from people like cinquain so if you want to be a really super good charcoal artist, bother her (http://cinquain.deviantart.com/art/How-To-Draw-Tips-Pointers-25546161). Also this my own opinion on charcoal, if your art teacher has taught you something different, or you like to use it a different way then don’t listen to me.
